South African Aircrew Under Training

We know that RAF, RCAF etc airmen under training (and also British ATC Cadets who had been accepted as aircrew) wore a white flash in the peak of their side caps. But does anyone know what colour the South Africans wore?

This listing has appeared on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/South-Africa-Pilots-World-War-11-casualty-memorabilia_W0QQitemZ180050980231QQihZ008QQcategoryZ13980QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). The large photo clearly shows an airman of the SAAF but with a flash in the front of his cap that does not appear to be white. I'd guess the cap is khaki, might the flash be orange, blue or something else? A few months ago someone posted a note on this site to the effect that his grandfather wore one in yellow (see http://www.network54.com/Forum/180748/message/1152888759/). Would that be the answer?
