Last year I bought an Irvin from What Price Glory, supplier of Hollywood movies and whatnot. It's a very nice repro but it's too large. I should have bought a 40 :( Anyway, I would like to sell it, it has barely been used.

what's your "size" ? Chest, height. Is the Jacket too large when worn over a T or a suit?

No it's not too personal :)
I'm 185cm tall, 68 kg, chest size 39 inch. I'm a rather skinny guy :)
I never wear a suit beneath, usually it's a t-shirt + a sweater.
