RAF AM sponge/foam Oval Padding continued...

Here discussion continues for the AM foam cups that I may be able to sell. To all interested, I have attached a picture of all 9 pairs that I could possibly obtain: I am confident that these are definately original AM pairs, and they are extremely scarce; especially in this condition.

Confident, schmonfident!

September 7 2010, 2:28 PM

We want stamps, certificates, testimonies, affidavits from vets!!!

Joking aside, aren't these stamped? I thought all of them were stamped either RCAF or RAF among other stamps?

Cheers, Toine

Yes...

September 7 2010, 2:31 PM

...they are all stamped on the reverse:

here's an example (the seller noted to me that the stamps on some have (of course) faded but are still legible)

The picture is slightly blurred, but I can make out the RAF/AM stamp from my PC wink.gif

Glenn, see my post under Paul's. Everything is fine, but I need to clarify shipping with the seller. Once that's done and I've paid for it then I can have them for sale officially.

From the floor tiles I'd say these are from Michel Perrier at $20 a pair right?

Yes

September 8 2010, 12:07 PM

Yes. That is correct Ric! I needed to buy a few sets of these and so contacted him to see if a bulk order would be possible. After he told me that he had 8-9 pairs, I thought that this it'd be a good idea to buy a bulk order (considering how scarce these pads are). He's a great chap. wink.gif

If Still Available

September 8 2010, 1:46 PM

Hi Ben,

If you have any sets still available, I could use a pair. My e-mail address is paultaxATaolDOTcom. I'm sure you know the e-mail subtitutions. Many thanks!

Paul, 6 people so far have declared interest and you're the 6th. I'd need two pairs, so that's enough for everyone (sorry to those who wanted two...) I'll do a recount just to make sure and make a list, but this should be fine. Of course, I will need to check how much this will cost me. I am not trying to rip you all off and get rich, and I don't care about making any money, but of couse I'd be happy to see how much this will cost me and if selling a pair for £20 means that I don't lose any money then that's excellent! wink.gif I will keep you all posted on this. I would love to sell a pair for £20 to repay you all for offering me guidance over the past few years, but if this isn't possible then £30 will be the maximum amount.

have a great week all.

Re: Ben......

No, but you read my mind.

They have arrived and now I am sorting them into pairs. They are much better than I thought. Also, a pair sold on eBay for £36 so you will be getting better deals. I was thinking £30 was a good price IMHO including postage.

I am still, though, debating how many to sell at this stage. More info to come soon wink.gif

Re: Still in!!

Yep, price will be £30 including postage which is fair, I think.

I am still deciding how many to sell. I will need to put a full list together and see. The issue is, I would usually sell in order of who responded first (first come, first serve) but this doesn't work as some members aren't forum-members and so have to have their posts checked. My only other choice, really, is picking names out of a hat which I could do, but it's unfair if someone who replied first didn't get their name pulled out.

Any thoughts...?
