I totally think $8 would be taking those lessons with or without his wife and child.
If you're actually reading his posts, such that you are able to make rational judgements based upon them, you can clearly see that he's caught the 'bug' of TKD, in a really dedicated and disciplined way.
I don't know how much you guys know about martial arts, but I know a little, and he's attained belts pretty damn quickly and started sparring higher level people so fast that he's not only got a talent for it, he's dedicating some serious time to it. This is NOT to me, indicative of someone just going so that their kid can be the next Ralph Macchio.
