      PS3's used at Gamestop are currently $199. If he like games there are a ton of games he probably wants to play that are exclusive to Playstation 3 that he hasn't been able to play if he only has an Xbox360. Heavy Rain, God of War 3 to name two. Then after he plays the PS3 exclusives he's interested in he can sell it back and take the cash...
