I don't believe it either. No WAY Eminem wasn't in on it.

Amazing the wire guy could aim that well though!

I'm on the fence. Eminem promoted the awards a lot....but that doesn't mean MTV wouldn't have humiliated him for real. Then again, I think the real Eminem, had he not seen that coming, would have reacted much more violently.

I'm inclined to say that it was scripted for Bruno/MTV but not so much for Eminem.  Altho if I was sitting down and looked up to see 2 big white butt cheeks descending from up above, I would probably move or put my hands up to protect my face.

Didn't eminem have a video where he pretended to put his butt cheeks on some celeb? I see this as a parody of that and I think he was in on it.

gossip sites are saying that the show's producer, Burnett, cleared the joke with Eminem beforehand.

Also, gossip is that Paris Hilton was the first choice.

The head writer for the MTV Movie Awards has settled the debate: the stunt involving Sacha Baron Cohen and Eminem at the MTV Movie Awards was completely planned.

Comedy writing veteran Scott Aukerman wrote in a posting on his blog that the incident was staged and rehearsed in advance.

"Didn't Eminem have a video where he pretended to put his butt cheeks on some celeb?"

The lyric you're remembering it "My bumb is on your lips - my bumb is on your lips - and if I get lucky, you might give it a little kiss."

That line, in the song "The Real Slim Shady," was a parody in itself, making fun of Tom Green's wildly popular "The Bum Bum Song."

Eminem did act out this line in his video, with an obviously fake rubber ass. Tom Green acted it out in his video, but used no fake props.
