House hunting laugh

We're not seriously looking, but I did go look at that scary house last week and now the realtor who met me there has been sending me listings he thinks I'd be interested in.

He sent me one that's a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, farm-house-style house on a full acre in a nice area listed at $211,900. Why, oh why, can you tell me, would the listing agent include these pictures????

Nasty agreed.  I'd tell your Realtor that you only want to see "move-in ready" sparkling clean.  It surprises me these pictures are what people think will sell a house, good lordy.

Gah.

When I was looking to buy a house all the bathrooms I looked at were tiny. I developed a rule that I had to be able to bend over and turn around without hitting my head or my ass on anything. Those bathrooms wouldnt pass. Plus, the NAST!! Ugh!

In addition to the gross !! that door barely makes it open in the second pic. If your kids were ever to rush in on you, your knees would be toast.

The green sink.

And a toilet seat to complete the ensamb.

How hillbillyish.

It would probably appear like a castle to the "been using the creek and a pit privy" crowd.

I totally feel ya, Kathleen.
Some of the listings I've been browsing through don't even have ANY pictures of the inside of the house. Just landscape and flower close-ups. Do the Realtors hand their kid the camera and just post whatever they take?

Ugh.

There are plenty with pics of unflushed toilets too. Lovely.

And mirrors! Every single place over here has one wall that is nothing but a giant mirror in the living room. It's supposed to give the illusion of space, I've been told, but all it really looks like is a small room with a tacky wall.
