Jewelry storage

I know we had a thread about this before but I wanted to show you guys how I store my earrings and necklaces and hoped you would do the same...it's Sunday, what do you want? I could post pics of my house pre and post vaccuming.

Anyway, you know those magnetic boards you can get to store those spice containers? Works perfect for earrings happy.gif

I put it in my clothes closet. On the door of the closet I nailed in a tie/belt hanger and I use that for my necklaces

Let's see yours happy.gif

You hope we'll all start storing our jewelry like you do?

No way. That's way too organized for me to handle.

I have to hide the good stuff to keep my kids' hands off it, and I always forget wherever I hide things.

Actually my wife does something similar- but with her earrings, she bought this wood cut slotted thing that goes against the wall. I am always getting my shirt caught on it and flinging earrings all over our closet.

Organization works much better without people.

Haha! No silly. Posting pics. I just started doing this today. My earrings were in a plastic box with little compartments and I didn't know what I had so I rarely wore any. I'm hoping this changes that.

AC, I thought that might also be a problem so for because I am a klutz, but maybe I can pick the earrings for the day but the ones that poke me in the foot when I step on them happy.gif

I now have horrific images of where David has body piercings.

I have no jewelry to post, don't wear any.
I don't even where a watch anymore.
I happily, officially eliminated my need to wear my only piece of jewelry (i.e. wedding band) 3 years ago. Actually, almost exactly 3 years ago. I will always remember the date, because it was only 1 day before 06/06/06.

I used to love wearing a watch. Always had one on, always thought I needed to know what time it was. Watches are one of the casualties of kids. Haven't worn one in two or three years. Turns out, I don't always need to know what time it is.

Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody even care?

If so I can't imagine why we've all got time enough to cry...

I use my cell to check the time altho yesterday I got a nice brown and gold coloured watch and as I was reminding my friends that I bought it for only $15 and bragging about my bargain hunting happy.gif I noticed it had turned my wrist green. They had a HUGE laugh over that.

You have earrings that are paramagnetic?
Those probably aren't such a great idea to stick in your ear holes.

It is indeed a piggy. It was a gift from a friend/roommate after my mother died. His name is Mr Clinky because he has these wooden hearts on his tail that clink together when you shake him happy.gif

My roommate didn't sleep much (the life of a waitress) and one morning I awoke to the sight of her at the sewing machine with about 30 pigs in various states of completion. She had used mine as a pattern and was making them to give as Christmas presents.

I have six lobe and one tragus piercing in my left ear. Four lobe piercings in my right. Oddly enough, I only have one set of pearls for winter, surgical steel for summer. No necklaces or bracelets and only a couple of rings. My off-season ear barbells and other body jewelry are stored in a small case in my closet because they are swapped out so infrequently.

I only have one hole in each ear, and a TON of earrings. I have a nice jewelry box and other pretty things to store jewelry, but sometimes it's hard to find the pair of earrings I'm looking for. I like that idea, Arwen! I need a better way to organize.

Ahh the jewelry storage thread.. I'm pretty sure that's the thread where David and I got engaged.

I kinda miss my tragus piercing, I REALLY miss my tongue piercing. I've decided that after I finish going through interviews this summer I'm going to go get it back for one more year.

Thanks Caps. I Luuuurve the chair.

With any luck I'll rock a baby in it some day. happy.gif

However, I'm paranoid, and I keep thinking that whatever was used to stain the wood way back then, is TOXIC and will kill kill kill anyone who comes into contact with it. heh.
But, I don't want to refinish it cause the woods so cool lookin as is.

And, the woman who owned it lived to 90 something, so....? Maybe is GIVES LIFE!!!!!
