Who Will Blow Up the World

I think it will be Korea. Nostradamus said it would be someone from the yellow race (his words not mine) that would end the world. I don't know the full prophecy, but I hope I know in advance, so I can get a pack of cigarettes.

I am taking bets now. Please send your money to me and if we are around when the world ends I will payup.

Who do think it will ended of life as we know it?

Only if their missle falls out of the sky and lands on another country's red button will North Korea bring about the end of the world.

Okay then the destruction of America.

But I think it will go this way. Korea will bomb us, we bomb Korea and then China gets involved and just like the shampoo commerical and so and so and so...

I think it'll be the Canadians.

Dang Canadians! Never did trust 'em. First they woo us with beaver pelts and maple syrup. Then comes a great currency exchange rate, cheap prescription drugs, and arguably the best marijuana in the northern hemisphere, (not that I would know anything about that). Then next thing you know KA-BOOM-EH! Those sneaky Canucs lob the big one over the bushes.

The first invaders will probably be overcome by radiation and die. They'll then become radioactive zombie Canadians. Everybody knows radioactive zombie Canadians are the worst.

Alanis Morissette?

I rest my case.

Well, I for one am ready for the Maple Leaf Scourge. My secret bunker, cleverly hidden under one of our North Carolina hog lagoons will hide and protect me. I will be invisible and cloaked in the stench of freedom. I have stocked up on all of my North Carolina survival essentials; pork products, tobacco, corn liquor, licensed UNC sports apparel, and a shotgun.
I'll lay in wait as I plot to overthrow the invading evil and win my our country back. ALL HAIL GRAY! I mean god bless America.

I was listening to a radio story yesterday about how much of the domestic terrorism in this country is committed by white males who usually identify themselves as Christian and republican. Think the holocaust museum shooting, Oklahoma City bombing, abortion clinics, Atlanta Olympics bombing, etc. They are typically fighting against blacks, Jews, immigrants, gays and those uppity women demanding reproductive rights as a reaction to the eroding of their world of white male privilege. It makes you really wonder if Dick Cheney and the Bush administration was pushing the fear of Muslims to hide the fact that they're the real enemy and most of us are far more likely to be killed by one of their gun-toting conservative Limbots that we ever are by N. Korea.

Right - don't forget the Anthrax attacks on the US Congress. They're STILL not sure they solved that one! And it was 9/11 ARABS all the time for the next 7 years, and NEVER domestic antrhaxers FEAR!!

It's because it was all horseshit designed to provide an unending enemy through which to justify the destruction of the means and product of production.

I with whomever said Pakistan.

If there is a Nuclear war, it will be Pakistand and India.

Domestic terrorism scares me too, but most of these are loners. It's only when they congregate that we have problems. Imagine one of them being a technician at a Nuclear power plant, or a weapon storage facility, and then making some "friends".

Shudder.

Yeah, I figured Pakistan has a better arsenal than Korea, since they've been at it much longer and stuff. Also not very stable there. Korea is nuts, but I don't think they have the pow-ah. Pakistan has more of a 'complete annihilation' factor. Esp. since their government isn't the most stable.

Israel would be my 2nd. Although they're not technically IAEA, everyone knows they've got 'em. I don't mean to say that they are going to go world-class nutso armegeddon (megiddo?) style, but I can see them being attacked and retaliating in kind.

N.Korea next.

I worried so much about imminent nuclear war growing up in the 80's that it's not something I can muster up much excitement about now, even though it's more likely.

But!! Korea is going to attack Hawaii and you know how well that worked out for Japan.

Personally, I usually try to start with South America and work my way across Africa for the stronghold while everyone else dukes it out in Asia.

I agree. Never get involved in a land war in Asia. I mean, unless you secured Australia and the surrounding islands, you might have a chance. I prefer a riskier strategy of occupying Europe first and then going for Africa. Europe is definitely a gamble though, but it pays off handsomely if you can hold it.

Yeah! It's been a while - I mean, since I've played with you. I'm still playing regularly. Haven't seen the Evilpumpkinheadman around lately. Hope everything is alright with him.

Should we start up a game? I let my premium membership lapse, so I can only play in 4 games at a time now. Still playing quad games with Anonadick.

Heh. Evilpumpkin is still playing - just not with me. He's in 15 games right now. He seems to like the more complex maps.

Yeah, Evilpumpknhedman is still playing. When I was in Phx in May, he had lots of games going. His premium membership expired awhile back and limited his play, but I guess since he got fat with all that graduation cash he has renewed it.

Also, his computer died in April/May, but he just bought a new Mac. He is really busy with the Princeton Review right now and some volunteering, but apparently not too busy to be in 15 games on CC.

We should start a game and invite him, Mar, David, and Anonadick to play. That was fun.

If we can find one more, we can get a game of 3 v 3 triples going. I really like the team games better lately. Anybody else want to volunteer for a game of Risk?
