The almond butter crunch makes me think of peanut brittle. Which I love. And now want to go find some. To eat.

That reminds me. I had brittle the other day with hemp in it. It didn't really taste any different from regular brittle. Is there any health type benefit to eating hemp?

Well, who knew?

http://www.naturallysplendid.com/hemp-info

Hemp is the most nutritious and easily digestible food on the planet, the only complete source of the following: protein, essential amino acids and essential fatty acids. Hemp is the only food which supplies all of ones dietary needs in one source - the only food that can sustain human life without any other source of nutrition.

Complete Protein
Hemp is a nutritious, complete source of protein containing 33% protein - the most digestible protein of any plant on earth.

Hemp contains all 20 known essential amino acids (EAAs) including the 10 of which our bodies cannot produce and must be supplied in the food you eat daily. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and are necessary for building and repairing muscle tissue and are vital to the maintenance of a healthy immune system.

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)
Hemp contains over 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs), the most compared to all other oils on earth. EFAs are considered the good fats because they cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed through diet for proper growth and body functioning. EFAs help you burn excess fat, restore health to the cardiovascular system, relieve arthritis pain and inflammation, and strengthen the immune system. EFAs - the good fats - keep you healthy!

Omega 6 and Omega 3
Hemp is rich in Omega 3 and omega 6 EFAs. Together Omega 6 and Omega 3 are essential to the proper development and functioning of the brain, reproductive systems, and metabolism, as well as helping maintain the health of skin and hair and energy production.

The Perfect Ratio
Studies have shown that it is important to consume Omega 6 and Omega 3 in the proper balanced ratio. Unbalanced consumption of Omega 6 and Omega 3 my contribute to health conditions such as heart disease, cancer, asthma, arthritis, depression. Hemp oil is the only edible oil on earth that is perfectly balanced with the 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 EFAs as recommended by the World Health Organization to main optimum health.
