Petrified Bat!

You would hate the Cincinnati zoo Jo. You walk into the aviary- and right there- with no net or cage between you and the bat is about 6 of them- just hanging. They have the lights on, so they are dormant- but it takes getting used to- since these things are about the size of a small dog. Too me a while to get used to it, and I am not afraid of them.

I've been working too much. I totally looked at this and read "BATES".

Bats are cute little critters. We had a little colony of them in our barn back at home. They pretty much slept during the day and we would watch them fly around eating bugs at night.

Bats are made of win!

My kids go in and out of phases of batmania. I've learned to love them.

We had a few that would flit around the neighborhood where I grew up at dusk. No biggie.

Anything that eats mosquitoes is A-OK in my book (as I scratch multiple mosquito bites from last night.)

Lizzlee it is so funny what said about Mesquito bites because I got pretty chomped up while watching the bats. I was spraying so much Benadryl on me to get relief. I finally to an oatmeal bath and ahhhhh.
