We went to see the fireworks last night at King's Dominion. I knew it would be a late night for us, since the show didn't start until 10 PM. It only lasted about twenty minutes or so. What I hadn't anticipated was that it would take us AN HOUR AND A HALF to get out of the friggin' parking lot! Good thing we were in my husband's car. If we were in mine, we surely would have run out of gas!
Watched some neighbors trying not to burn down their back yard. They had some small mortar type fireworks and one multi mortar type display that wasn't too bad but, that was the one that had them worried about the burning back yard thing.
Entertainment for me though.
And the rumbling of the shows within 10 miles of me. (4)
I knew some of you east coast/New York folk would be watching the stuff I was seeing on the T.V. live.
And I was right.
Lisa's vid is what I was seeing on the T.V.
Except I had the orchestrial accompaniment.
And a different viewing angle.
But seeing it live would be cool.
With Doc. Z.
From time to time, the usual moment seems terribly beautiful.
