We just got back from a week at the beach. The weather was perfect: hot and sunny. The ocean was warm, clean and gorgeous. The kids had a blast, and we did a lot of relaxing.
We stopped at the grocery store on our way in to stock up on supplies.

I found this giant Squid kite at Sam's Club. It was the envy of the beach!
Stevie dug and dug the whole week, never found China, but did get a lot of sand up his crack. The Squid kite was so awesome. I hope we get to use it again. Not much wind in hotlanta to fly kits, unless it's a tornado. We had a faboo time. I hope everyone's summer is as awesome as this one has turned out to be. Away again in a week, this time to the Hamptons in New York. Will post more pictures of the festivities.
Love your pics! Growing up we spent every summer on either Kiawah or Seabrook Island. We still have a close family friend who lives at Kiawah all year long. Your pictures brought back a lot of memories.
Kermit, I am totally jealous of your childhood. Both places are out of this world gorgeous. Appy, the picture of Stevie watching the Incredibles is him in his bed, so he was in his home turf there!
I know! We used to go for a month every year. I would act like a spoiled, sulky teenager because I didn't want to go. I was so afraid I would miss out on what my friends were doing. I would love just to go for a day now.
