Sorry these are late. I came back from vaca and immediately went back to work for 8 days straight.
Got to Campland in San Diego on Friday, picked up family friends from airport on Saturday, then went to fun on Sunday.
Visited Balboa Park and went to the Natural History Museum to see BodyWorlds. Lucky for all of you that are squeemish pictures in the exhibit are not allowed. When we got there, Buddhist monks were finishing a sand painting with a ceremony of sorts.
We were going to visit a few gardens, but they all were closed for special events. But we did watch the koi pond for a bit.
This guy wanted the fish, but was afraid of the water.
We did go into one other museum. I'll let you guess which one:
My step-sister-dog Daisy enjoyed the dog beach on Fiesta Island at least 5 times during our visit:
We went to the San Diego County Fair. Apparently the state is proposing to sell off the property. So this might be the last one.
Pig Races:
New Fried Food offerings:
Our big trip out was the Aquarium. Those fish are photogenic:
Final nights festivities:
Before dropping off at airport, we visited the Maritime Museum:
And the art on the docks:
Sorry I missed planning a visit with the SD crew again. Between family, the friends that came in (one missing her BF tons, the other with a foot thing), and having to drive back home one day for a doctors appointment, there wasn't much opportunity.
Why must you be the screen door on my submarine?
