And a little something from my blog:
I am an entertainer. A "hostess with the mostest" you might say. I've always loved having people come over to my house. That wasn't the case so much when I moved from my house to Gary's house. Don't get me wrong...Gary is pretty clean...for a boy. But I have a little higher standards...I am happiest when my house looks good enough to grace the cover of Southern Living.
Honestly, when I moved into Gary's house, it didn't quite feel like me...like home. Even after we were married, it still felt like his house instead of our house. I'm sure that has a lot do to with the fact that this was his house before it was our house and a lot of the decor was...batchelor-like.
That's changing now. I think the new floors helped a lot. Not that there's anything more magical about floors, but the whole process of picking them out together, going through the process of installing them, making decorating decisions together - these things help it feel more like our house than his house.
