Natalie. Although when I was five I wished I could constantly wear rollerskates like Tootie.
(in the first episode that had Jo in it, Blair is making rude comments about how Jo is wearing "flared jeans". Natalie says "Don't worry about it, Jo... ALL my clothes are flared!")
I don't think I ever watched an episode. I was maybe a year or two too young to be interested in it, but I liked whatever was on after it, so sometimes I'd catch the tail end and sit there in a cloud of exasperation waiting for my show to begin.
I had the hugest crush on Lisa W before she was Blair on that show back when she was just Lisa on the New Mickey Mouse Club.
I was so going to marry her.
Then when The Facts of Life started up I totally lost my interest in her for some reason. Maybe it was because her character in that show was so unlikable, or maybe it was because of my new crush, Julie...
Julie sadly disappeared though one year (along with some other cute girls on that show) when that school changed from being a girls school to being a school for just Tootie, Natalie, and Blair.
Anyone else have that fabulous femullet pictured above? 1986 it was. With layered popped color button down, sleeves rolled for maximum color visibility, and matching scrunched socks over pegged jeans. Twas a beautiful time, no? Fashion was so cruel in the 80s. The pictures live on..dammit.
Wow - I just watched the movie "The Night of the White Pants" which she says she's "co-starring" in on her website.
Um, co-starring? She played the largely incoherrent crazy Aunt who appears in maybe 4 scenes. She has no actual lines that I remember that contain intelligible English. Yeah, that's "co-starring" in my book.
Weird movie overall. I give it a B-. She has absolutely nothing to do with my vote either way.
Regarding that pic up top, I searched for a clip of George from that show and found one. Wow. If I saw this today without being told ahead of time it was him, I seriously would not have recognized him.
