1.True Blood
2.Hung
3. Weeds? Maybe? I'm not sure for the 3rd one but those are the 3 shows that I watch with any regularity aside from BBUK which is embarassing (I will never again even attempt to watch the US version of Big Brother). I was totally into Harper's Island when it was on, too but it ended last week.
1. Intervention
2. Breaking Bad
3. Diners, Drive-ins and Dives
They replayed the Intervention with Allison the compressed air huffer last night. She's walking on sunshine! Wonder if she's still straight? She looked like a different person at the end, pretty amazing transformation.
Leverage - a guilty pleasure.
Man vs. Food - that man is my new hero
That's about all right now. Breaking Bad is over for the season. No HBO or Showtime or I'd be watching True Blood, Weeds, Hung, Dexter when it comes back...
Looking forward to Sons of Anarchy in September though!! Vroom! Punch!! BLAM!!
Right now it's a. True Blood (I'm now halfway through the second Sookie Stackhouse book, now. Totally obsessed)
b. Hung (really funny show . . .kinda bummed that it's only a half hour)
c. Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (so glad it's back!)
The last two shows I watched on TV were:
1. How to hook up a converter box
2. How to hook up a converter box
But now even those have been taken off the air.
Yea I've seen Underdog to Wonderdog a few times. It is pretty cool, but I wish they'd pick a few big dogs. I've only seen them work on Paris Hilton accessories.
It's gotten so ridiculous now. The recruiters are letting actual social misanthropes on in hopes of more drama. The cooking is hardly the focus of the show any more - just the stupid moronic shit that the trogs they pick for the show say. Not a single one of them I've seen so far deserves the description "Chef."
They actually picked the owner of a diner to be on the show. To maybe run a multi-star restaurant in Whistler Canada if he had won. His 'signature dish' was sausage gravy on toast. He was gone in the first half hour because he couldn't cook anything really at all.
I love it normally, but it's so soap opera staged now that it's feeling like a waste of time.
Top Chef Masters is also on - and it's pretty good. Oprah's chef dude was on last night, and he was the Dr. Phil of cooking. He kept saying over an over his resume of famous people he's cooked for, and how his mantra is to cook with love. What an utter douche. Why does that shit play with so many Americans?
When September 16th rolls around, I will be watching Glee. The first episode aired a month or two back, and I have watched it 6 times. I downloaded it to my ITouch, and am watching it for the seventh time right now. Jane Lynch plays the coach of the cheerleading team, the Cheerios, and she is fantastic. Go watch it right now. You will be hooked from the get go.
You think this is hard? Try Waterboarding! That's hard!
Aurora,
I read the Vampire Diaries books as a teenager and still have my copies here somewhere in the basement. From what I've seen on the previews, the show is going to SUCK, compared to the books.
Has anyone seen the commercials for the new series called Flashforward about the population of the earth blacking out for two minutes and seeing the future? It seems like it has potential.
America's Funniest Home Videos? Really? Is it still on or are you catching reruns? (I'm not being sarcastic....I honestly don't know if it's still on) Tom Bergeron or Bob Saget?
Repeats are on ABC Family and they still do new shoes. strictly Bergeron.
Its a guilty pleasure, but I have to tell you...my wife and I have a great time laughing at the physical comedy, funny pet shots and babies blowing mucus bubbles out their noses. After along day, its mindless fun we need.
We like to catch a few minutes of Home Videos now and then. It's funny.
And I tried to watch Glee when is first premiered but didn't get it so after all the hoopla on this thread I watched the first half on Hulu at work yesterday. OMG - it was awesome. I don't know what I was thinking.
Remember that I was blowing smoke up everyone's ass a year ago to watch True Blood, and you all laughed at me! LAUGHED! and now look at how many people are hooked on it! I predict the same for Glee. It's going to be gigantic.
