Mr. Deng's fraudulent post? (From way back)

Not Mr. Deng  (no login)

Did anyone ever address Mr. Deng's last contribution? It was from way back in February. I lurk around here sometimes, and went back to February to see if anyone here had anything to say. Only thing I found was Caps saying he liked it in a thread that eventually went towards March Madness.

Which I did, too (liked it), until you got through the comments and someone outed all his pics as being from a little news story about an American working in a factory over there.

Sorry if this is old news, but if you haven't seen it, someone in the comments links to the news story that Deng pulled all the pics and story from.

Just wondering if anyone cared...

I will reserve judgement until Mythbusters does an episode on this.

Some of the stuff stretched.
But it was a good read.

Married.
Kid.
New house.
Resturant.

The older ones with the antique pics and cards was cool.

I thought he was real.

I'm expecting Todd to write a "Daily stuff" titled "Yes, CapsLock, there is a Deng".

I thought he was real. I remember thinking that someone was impersonating Mr. Deng.

Just seems like it would take a lot of work to write posts and post pictures to OddTodd and even so, it is entertaining...

Kinda like Santa?

I agree, until Mythbusters...

I never believed it. I decided that he was a beloved pookah --an who was I to call out how nonsensical it was. Let Harvey have his delusions.

I never thought it was Todd, just someone playing Mr. Deng for his own amusement. I did enjoy his posts though.

But what would they get to blow up? A shoe factory in china?

Just a small point, but since it is one of my all time favorite movies: Harvey is the pooka - Elwood P. Dowd has the delusions (well, depending how you feel about pookas). happy.gif

I've thought for quite a while that Mr. Deng is a girl.
