So, my car was broken into last night/this morning. They dumped my gym bag, book bag, emptied my console, emtied my glove comparment and the side of the door and dumped everything all over the seats and floor boards. They found my work black berry that was in my closed console. Not out in the open or anything. Still. I know I should have had it inside. So, Im sure Ill get shit for that.

One street over a friend of mine walked out to someone casing(sp) her car. She let the dog out on them and they ran.

Two days ago and two streets over someone broke into a guy's car, stole his tools and just took the wife's car altogehter.

This sucks!

But sometimes it's possible to get back at them. In the mid 90's my brother's father in law, Dave was getting gas stolen from his RV, via a siphon. After it happened a couple of times, he decided to hide out and wait for them to do it again.

As it happens, criminals really DO return sometimes.

So two guys show up and start doin there thing with a hose. Dave and a buddy of his stroll out from behind some bushes and surprise them with a .357. Dave tells them to lay on the ground and that they need to be taught a lesson. Then he tells em he's going to maim both of them in the leg, so they won't be able to commit anymore crimes. After letting them lay there for a few minutes, sobbing and pleading, he decides to rob them instead. So he takes their wallets and watches and jewelery and stuff and tells them that if they come back, he will definitely shoot them in the balls.

Now I'm not saying do what Dave did, cause you might get yourself killed. But you might consider getting a cheap video surveillance camera and see what it catches.

My neighbors were hit last night.

There are stories all up and down the block about break ins and such.

I want to move. I really am just about over living in Atlanta. Where should I go? Think I can sell my house? What do I do? Im a little scared to live alone here. I want to throw up.

And Lea - I'm really sorry to hear about that. The same thing happened in my mom's neighborhood a few months ago and if it's any consolation - they caught the guy. Twas a homeless man.
