First reaction was: the owner of the store was well within his rights to defend his place. 

Second reaction was: You've got way too many guns in the U.S. 

You can never have too many guns.

Yeah...

My first reaction was "WTF?!, followed closely by "I'm glad I live in a country where property isn't more important than human life"

Not defending US gun policy in any way, but I don't see shooting armed men pistol whipping one of your employees as putting the value of property above human life.

The ease with which the robbers got the weapons is another matter, but if I had a store in Harlem I'd have a loaded shotgun under the counter too.
