I always wanted to plant a pumpkin in a pot and feed it plant junkfood to make it gigantic. Maybe I will someday. I want to grow a pumpkin that weighs as much as me.

I was thinking this morning that I would maybe put up some pics of my garden, but after seeing yours I'm too ashamed of my pathetic turnips. I do have some fantastic dill though.

Okay... for those that don't know yadda yadda my SO-Boo is a landscape designer. We moved in and it was just dirt. That was in July 2005. This is what we have now...

This is the west side of the backyard... tropical

Okay now the east side of the backyard... it's a cactus garden.


If you just scootch a bit more from the cactus garden towards the back you will run into SO-Boo's Man Cave in the back of the property..
don't the plants look like the trees the lorax was trying to save? I think so!


Now the back (south) part of the backyard... that's mostly bamboo and it makes a lovely privacy screen from the alley.


Okay now the front? Here is the garden off the front step...

And the reeds in front of the house...


We have two huge Pepper Trees in the very front of the house, here's one of them (they intertwine) (what we call in the midwest... the parking strip?) They have 3 different windchimes hanging very high up in the branches. The people who walk by seem to enjoy that. They make me sneeze!


Palm trees (babies) line the driveway to the front garage...
