This was a legal burn of trees and brush in the city here.








See the fire monster ?





It was fun to watch. At one point flames were 35 to 40 feet high.It burned for about two hours before it was reduced to a large bed of smoking stumps and a huge bed of coals.

No hot dogs or marshmallows were injured in this burn.



This was the first of three burns that need to be done.I will have more pictures when those happen.

And I see something dirty in that last pic involving a gnome and a sheep woman.

Where did you get more matches? I thought I took them all away from you, so you wouldn't play them anymore. Wouldn't like to do something a little safer and uh mow your lawn.


Nice fire. However, it is a little scarey to me. How do you make sure that it doesn't get out of control?,

Those were beautiful. Thanks for sharing. We used to have bonfires at my mom's farm, and my brother John would stand ready with a hose to protect the nearby trees.

There was a firetruck on site. I just didn't take any pictures of it.

Maybe the next fire will get out of control and then I'll have action firefighting photos.

Also I waited all week for the right wind conditions and surrounding area moisture conditions.

The night before we had a small rain shower too.
Also the next day forecast was for rain,which it did.

So it's not like I'm all Torchy McTorch out there.
