question about hosting "product" parties

Tupperware, Happy Chef, Lia Sophia, etc.

I've never done it before so how does this work? Because the way my 'representative' is telling me doesn't sound right.

Should the rep help you put your invitations together?

Should the rep follow up with the orders? Like if the order is wrong is it your responsibility or your reps responsibility to follow up?

How should it really work?

You throw the party - meaning invitations, food, and all that stuff. The rep shows up with the products and helps people do their orders. Yeah if something is messed up the rep should be the one to fix it. But, be prepared for someone to call you first.

What Ginny said. And usually you are offered a host bonus (free stuff or discounted stuff or sometimes even a % of sales), your benefit for throwing the party.
