Had to share this cute story

This is an email I sent to someone I recently made an eBay purchase from:

Dear Jennifer,

Hi! This is Lizzlee -- I bought a blue plush Kohl's lizard from you about a week ago. I am writing because you will be receiving a cryptic letter in the mail in a few days from my daughter, so I thought I would write and explain It's a long story, but heart warming.

Our family went to Virginia Beach last week. My son brought along his very most favorite stuffed animal in the world, Racky -- a blue plush lizard that he has had for over five years. As we got in the car to begin our three hour trip home, we realized Racky was nowhere to be seen. We spent an hour retracing our steps to find him, to no avail. The kind German woman we were sitting near and chatted with while at the beach was still there, and took my email address in case she found Racky.

Racky never was found, so I bought another from you on eBay, washed him a couple of times, and told my son that the German woman had found him. My son commented that Racky looked different -- no scratches on his eyes, softer, so I told him that it just so happens the German woman sews and repairs stuffed animals for a living, and cleaned Racky up for him before mailing him back.

A few days later, one of our dogs chewed up the foot of my daughter's chocolate lab Webkinz. So she wrote you (the supposed German woman who works miracles on stuffed animals) to ask you to fix Chocolate. I first checked your eBay store to see if you offered any Webkinz chocolate labs happy.gif I found one somewhere else, and you will soon be getting credit for working another stuffed animal miracle.

Just thought I'd share that story with you.

BTW -- this is our fourth "Racky" so far!

Oh man! That's awesome!!!

I had a team of stuffed animals I brought with me on any overnight trip I ever made when I was little. Benson, Jake, Puddles and Pookie.

Puddles, a stuffed Dalmatian I had was lost at sea. I doubt he actually fell off the boat, but I realized he was missing when we were ON the boat. My parents, likewise, spent hours retracing steps trying to find him. I think my dad even radioed the harbor master to ask if they had recovered my plush pal.

Sadly, E-bay was yet to come into existence at that point.

I still have Benson, Jake and Pookie.

He hasn't been trained. I'm trying shame instead of treats. - Lizzlee

Dawww, cute story.

My favorite stuffed animal was a panda. It didn't have a name but I made sure it was with me at all times. When its eyes fell off, mom sewed some black buttons on to replace them. He had a couple of patches too. The end came when I was playing tug-o-war over it with the dog and his head ripped off.
Mom convinced me it was time to let it go.
I was only 17.

Love the story Lizz happy.gif

I got my fave stuffed animal at a mall in Denver - a white kitty named Lindsey (yes, after the bionic woman, duh!). When I was around 16, I gave Lindsey to a guy I was dating because he loved cats but his apartment wouldn't allow pets. Flash forward 4 years. A week before I my wedding (to someone else) ex boyfriend shows up at my parent's house and drops off Lindsey. I happened to be there when he did.

I didn't think much of it. Kind of weird I guess.

I gave Lindsey to my oldest son Ryan when he was around 2. He took the stuffed animal EVERYWHERE. Now, at 24, Lindsey lives on the dresser in his room.

I received BooBoo from my sister when I was 10, he still sleeps with me every night. I've had to repair him quite a few times. I'm going to have to find a new pillow soon.

She's about 25 or 26. It depends on how much younger my cousin is to me.
Story goes that the first Christmas my cousin was around, my grandma bought the holiday plush at some department store because there was a girl bear and a boy bear, and now she had a girl grandchild and a boy grandchild. My cousin still has the matching bear, but it isn't as important to him. She's been an almost constant companion since then: been to camp, visiting family out of state, was at my wedding and tagged along on the honeymoon, went as my date to my work holiday parties, and even helped my neck/shoulder injury heal a few years back.

It's like he channels dead crazy people.

That's a great story Lizz.

My favorite bear was also my littlest bear, and he's still hanging with me to this day...

I don't have what I recall to be my first beloved stuffed animal anymore. He was a teddy bear from Germany named Schotze, and his nose smelled really good, and when you tilted him into a supine position he made that little whaaaaa mooing/whining sound. I practiced my kissing skills on him. happy.gif

I do still have a very small square from my boo covers, though. I mean small. Less than two inches square. I just couldn't let boo cover go completely.
