Yes, I did call Appy a cunt. "A miserable cunt", to be exact. After sharing a bit of personal information with the board to hopefully provide Kathleen with a different perspective as it relates to her decision of whether or not to go to a family thing, Appy took the opportunity to twist what I said and fashion a personal attack on me.

I was in no mood for it and challenged her to back up her accusations. She was obviously slighted and played the victim card but neglected (as usual) to provide any evidence backing up her assertions.

I did not issue a broadbased attack on all women. That's just Appy trying to give herself company in her victim pool. To call Appy a cunt does not mean that I feel like that about anybody other than Appy.

Is it a strong word? Yes.
Did I choose it to hurt her feelings? Yes, I chose it specifically, because it's over the top.
Did it hurt her feelings? I sure hope so, but I doubt she has any human feelings anyway.


At any rate, Squid's right. She posted what she did to pick a fight with me, and the result can't be too different than what she wanted. I should have taken the higher ground, but she hit a raw nerve with me, and I was hooked and reeled right into the conflict she was looking for.

Next time I hope to be smarter about letting her get under my skin. And I want to apologize to Kathleen for blowing my top on her thread. (should have at least started my own ranting thread for that). So, kathleen, I'm sorry for shitting up your thread.

I find it sad that society has attributed an overly bad meaning to the word "cunt". I personally don't find it any more offensive than calling someone a "dick". In general, it's a shame that we use anatomy to define personality.
