Michelle Childers of Idaho was impaled by a tree branch that crashed through the window of the truck she was sitting in. Childers and her husband were driving through a mountain range at the time of the incident, it took an hour before they reached a lodge where an ambulance and helicopter came to their rescue.
The branch that went through Childers neck measured 13-inches long and was a few inches thick. Childers had to undergo a six-hour-long operation to remove the branch.
