Not for the faint of heart - roller coaster malfunction injures 2

This hasn't hit the news yet, the views on this video are still in the double digits, but apparently this happened today. Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm injured a father and his son when a cable snapped midway through the launch, sending burning hot shrapnel flying into their faces (they were sitting in the first row). The Train then rolls backwards into the station, and as the two people realize they're injured (you can see blood on the dad's face) they freak out. There's no audio, and for that I am thankful. It's hard enough to watch without hearing it too.

Knott's website is showing Xcelerator closed starting September 17.

I haven't been to Knotts since about 2005 I think? But their rides always look a little iffy to me. I mean, I'm sure Disneyland has more accidents resulting in injuries. Maybe it's just that they make their rides to look scarier at Knotts.

Emokid is throwing slomo dove at my face, I guess that means he flipped me the bird

I just tried to youtube it and didn't see anything. When I opened Youtube, one of the suggested videos was Biggest Zit Ever. DO NOT WATCH IT. I don't know what the hell I was thinking, but I'm as close to gagging as the woman who shot the video.

Seriously. I'm warning you. I have never seen anything like it and I hope I never do again.

BTW, that was likely a staph infection. That guy should have been at the hostpital, but he likely didn't have health care.

I have never seen anything like that in my entire life, and, unfortunately, that's going to haunt me for a long time.

Sorry about the video, Knott's PR people had it yanked this morning. If you're in California, it's been all over the news all day. FOX and NBC have been airing the video repeatedly.

If you want to see it, head over to abc7.com or fox11.com.
