I think where I live now (Calgary Alberta Canada) has the oddest weather of any place I've ever lived. It snowed here in JUNE. SNOWED IN FRIKKIN JUNE I tell ya. Today was 29 degrees Celcius (sorry I don't know the Fahrenheit but it's probably over 70 degrees F.). Tomorrow is supposed to be 34 degrees. Would someone tell the trees it ain't Autumn yet?? They're changing colour, but it's still like really hot out there.
Hey Jen, was that the red sky in Australia? I read a brief article about that but they didn't say if they determined what the cause was. Do you live around that area that it happened?
I am in Melbourne sunflowrr, about 10 hours drive south of Sydney, so the dust did not reach me. The photos were awesone weren't they? Very eerie. I heard on the news that it was caused by having been in drought for so long and everything being so dry, and some weird cold front that came through and also some mention was made of El Nino but I'm not sure how that tied in with the dust.
I liked the weather in Sydney when I went . . . about 24 degrees Celcius in the day . . . nary a cloud in the sky in October. People were down at Bondi enjoying the weather. In October where I live it is COLD already and there are no leaves on the trees.
