Seriously. My inlaws have an enormous Golden Lab named Elmo who actually broke my MIL's arm with the rambunctiosness. Be careful. In the case of Golden Labs, love can hurt!
OH MY GOSH!!!! CUTTEE! I LOVE Golden labs. I had one when I was a little girl that grew up to be about 80 lbs. He would lay ACROSS my bed at night to keep me safe and still. I remember we went camping and he turned all of our sleeping bags into chew toys. My dad was sooo mad.
You know that tennis ball is going to be the bane of your existence, right?
Cute little Maya has us running on just about 4-5 hours of sleep every night. She cries less and less every night, but I guess she still misses her mama.
The first night I had my dog, Casey, I put her crate near the bed. She started to whine. I banged on the top of the crate pretty hard once. She never whined again. It sounds harsh, but it worked. I had read that somewhere.
Since judging from her mama and her paws, Maya is going to be a big dog, we're trying to get her to sleep by herself. We have this smallish room (warm, safe, clean) that opens to the backyard of hour house, originally intended to be some kind of a storage room. We have been putting her there to sleep every night, with an old blanket, her toys, and bowl of water nearby. First two nights her crying and whining made us feel like cold hearted selfish freaks But she's been slowly learning that that is 'her room' and now sleeps more and more every night. Last night at about 4 am, she just whined a little to let us know she wanted to be let out to pee

When I got Casey, I had wanted a male dog. But, I didn't get my holding deposit to the breeder soon enough. I guess male dogs were in high demand. But, 3 1/2 years later I wonder why. Female dogs are superior house pets in almost every way.
Appy, just water and a mop! Only this past week (those pics were taken this past Sat, the first day Maya arrived), I took an old spray bottle with water and a little bit of this product we have down here, to use it on any 'accidents' Maya had inside the house.
But I guess the cleanliness it's because our house is newish. We moved in just on February, and the house had just been built.
