Are dumb. At this point in the season most of the star players are resting for the playoffs. I think the playoff system needs a serious overhaul.

And I'm posting this now, so you know It's not just sour grapes in the unlikely event that I should lose.

I can't believe how bad my team has been this week. I make the play-offs and then they all decide to suck. Was feeling pretty good after last week's comeback. Goddammit. See you guys next year.

At least you lost to Theo. He's been good all year. I might lose to Tom, who's only in the playoffs because Blooomin put up an illegal lineup two weeks ago. No offense, Thomas.

My team has be absolutely disgraceful this week. They have brought dishonor to my family. I'm gonna go fall on a sharpened bat head now.

I totally agree with you about the format overhaul, Caps. All of the systems, CBS, Yahoo, etc used to give the administrator control over how to set up the playoffs, or would simply mandate that they happen the last week of August and the first week of September. CBS now requires you to PAY MONEY to have that control.

Football is going to have the same problem. Whoever grabs Rich Gannon off waivers will be able to give Peyton Manning a run for their money in week 16.

As it currently stands, I'm happy with the playoffs. I might be biased though.

Hehe, just kidding, I actually thought the exact same thing when I saw that we were starting playoffs. Kinda dumb system...

Congrats to you guys that made it. I thought for the most part the league was competitive and kept me interested in baseball until football arrived. Props to my O's for fighting for last place in the AL this year.

That illegal lineup thing is a overkill in my opinion. It's an oversight that usually happens after a trade or waiver pickup and you don't readjust. To be penalized a whole week for that is kind of ridiculous. But dems da rulez I supoze.

I agree, Bloomin. This was the most competitive league yet. It was fun. Doc's dad and his buddy from work were great additions. David put up a good effort as well.

Good luck to Cory and Tom next week.

Wait till next year...

I have never in my life worked that hard to fail so miserably. At the 75% mark, my only motivation to continue trying to improve my team was just so no one could call me a quitter :-p

No it wasn't, David. Your whole goal was to beat me the week before the last. And you almost did.

Heh... I don't know, David. Theo has a double start with Verlander. That might be the final straw that broke the camels back... for me anyway.

Heh... reminds me of the year that Caps traded me Verlander (I forget for who), and he went on to pitch a no hitter...lol. I think I traded him back to Caps, but I'm not sure. It was after the no hitter though happy.gif

Do you remember Caps?

That was the year I kicked ass and lost in the first round.

Here's the breakdown of my fantasy baseball seasons:

Year 1: Best record by like 3 games and lose in the first round
Year 2: Best record and win the whole thing.
Year 3: Completely dominate the 2nd half and lose in the first round.

It's been a "Caps dynasty", really.
