On Thursday night, David Letterman admitted to his audience that he'd had several sexual affairs with female employees over the years and that someone in the know decided to try and blackmail him for $2 million to not make it public. Letterman contacted authorities who advised him to mail the individual a fake check, and the individual (yet to be identified) was arrested yesterday.

It is unclear when these affairs took place or how many there were. David Letterman married his longtime girlfriend in March; they've been together since 1986 and have a 6 year old son.

Pretty much a non story in my opinion. Seriously, who cares?

I'm guessing his wife and mother of his child might care, but I'm agreeing with caps, non story.

I wonder if he handled it this way because it was a produceer for another CBS show (48hrs) that tried to extort money from him? Pretty crazy stuff, but yeah, it's not like he's the President (I keed, I keed!).

My friend's parents live by David Letterman and think that he is gay, or at least has had sex with men. I was thinking that's what the pics may have been.

But I can still drool at guys like Robert Pattinson too And the Pete/Peggy storyline keeps me hooked on Mad Men the most.

I'm not suprised but one local college teacher (who Interned on the Letterman show) was. Cutesy bubbly blonde spoke in his defense on the news tonight saying he was always kind to her and couldn't figure out how he could 'find the time' to get up to that because he always had show staff working with him.
