I can't believe it's still the afternoon!
I seriously made dinner an hour ago.. sat down, looked at the clock and couldn't believe it was only 4pm.

Longest day of my life EVER. And it's not done yet.

Not a bad one, just a long one.

So, I'm good, thanks, yourself?

Fine thanks. I had a meeting today which went ok but when I went to the bathroom I saw there was a big cotton fuzzball stuck to my face from my earlier Sea Breezing and I know it was on my face the whole meeting and nobody told me...

New Rule: Always tell people when they have something stuck on their face or in their teeth or whatever!

oh noes on the cotton ball! Sometimes I tell, sometimes I don't. Depends on if I like you wink.gif

It is a long day, isn't it? Very stressed out with too much going on personally, and some professionally (although just had a deadline ease so that was nice).

It's a gorgeous day in La Jolla - sunshine and blue skies. I haven't had lunch, so I was thinking about taking a little walk down by the beach.

What did you make for dinner Aurora? I'm hungry!

LOL. Aw.

I have a lot of work today. It's hard. I'm catching a lot of mistakes of people who get paid a lot more than me. Also I had a Cheeseburger from In n Out. It was good but the fries were too salty and now I can't stop drinking water.

Re: Hi

My university roommate always used to say "Hi, I'm going to be your friend right now and tell you that you have stuff stuck in your teeth before anyone who counts sees you". She did this to one of our professors in university. He was very impressed.

I'm doing alright. I had a stressful sort of day. At 7:30 this morning someone knocked and when I answered it there was a guy there "Hi, we're here to reshingle your roof, can you move all the stuff off your patio and out of your driveway?" It would have been nice had the landlord told us about this. So there we were outside doing that. Then I had a meeting in Charlottetown (which is about an hour away from where I live). When I got to the meeting I realized that I wasn't wearing my engagement ring. Wedding ring yes, engagement ring no. I don't ever take either ring off unless I'm baking bread or something so I knew it had fallen off. Question was, where? First break in the meeting I ran out to the car and searched everywhere, but it wasn't there. I hadn't stopped anywhere so I figured it had fallen off when we were hauling things from the patio to the backyard. I had no way of getting ahold of Rob though so I just worried about it all day (the meeting was good - four of us are developing a new curriculum for the province and we got to get together and see how things were going).

Anyway, all the way home I was trying to figure out a way to break the news to Rob that I'd lost my ring. I walked in the door and he said "Hey, guess what I found in the bed?". Then I fell over. So that was good. Also good: I get paid mileage for driving to Charlottetown. 39.9 cents per km, 142 km round trip.

How is everyone else?

.

LOL on the ring Louise.

And yeah, I'm usually pretty good about telling people when they have something on their face.

Dinner was my first meal of the day, which is why it probably tasted so good.

Just spaghetti, with a sauce of mexican veggie ground round cooked with spicy stewed tomatos.

Re: Hi

I came downstairs this morning and it was unusually cold (it was 36 F here this morning. Turns out our heat pump broke around midnight. Good thing we re-enrolled for our American Home Shield policy a few months ago!

Still no nibbles for a job for Jeff, but he's still going at it gangbusters. Keeping my fingers crossed.

All in all, I can't complain. I've had a recent windfall that will keep us comfortable, the kids are all in great health and bringing home super grades.

Hello,

I'm back!

In PAIN. Every day gets better though. Hate, Hate, Hate the hospital.

I'd give you details but I don't want to hijack and I don't want to start a new thread because apparently I have a stalker (yes, I know who it is) who will call me and my gang and their parents at 6:00 in the morning.

Maybe I can mask an update thread?

You have a stalker from here?

Or just in general?

I don't like this. :-/

Not from here. I'm still trying to weed out how this person came back into contact with updates about my life. I can only figure that this person has figured out that I'm posting on this forum.

I don't like it either. I had a few angry/concerned phone calls from people this person contacted. NOT what I needed only hours before going into major surgery.

'This Person' really needs mental help...

***NOTE TO 'Person' - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Just crawl under a rock already! NOBODY wants to talk to you!

Ask KOOL to start a thread for you. That should be safe. Hope you have a super speedy recovery! Turn off your phone ringer.

I'm sitting here high as a kite, breathing what's supposed to be "low VOC" oil paint from Sherwin Williams.
It was almost 60 freakinnnnnnnnn $$$$ a gallon. WTF?

Every window is open and it still is almost unbearable, yet, somehow pleasant.....

(..... floats away in my head ....)

The GOOD gOODER BESTED news is that the bathroom is ALMOST finished. We started this project approx

Super day here. Met a girl last week and things are on the up-and-up. We hung out last night and had a great time (baseball aside). She's making me dinner tomorrow night and we're going to play video games (Rock Band - Beatles) at her place. She's cute, smart, smells nice and if leagues existed, she would not be in mine, but she doesn't have to know that. happy.gif

That was a great game. I was getting home right when the stadium was emptying out and it was chaos!

Re: Hi

glad you found the ring Louise. I would be hyperventilating for most of the day if that were me.

Ryan, as long as her scalp stays fresh smelling, woot for you!

I am on nurse duty. Linds = cootie girl. Home sick with I suspect, H1N1, or perhaps just the seasonal flu.

I have Lysol wiped everything but supper and the cats but they could be next if things drag out this week.
