The girls got to wear their costumes to school today....Megan went as a poodle, Lauren as a farmer, and Carson as a hippie. The 3 second grade teachers dressed up as the Three Blind Mice, which was really cute.

A very good friend of mine made it for her daughter a few years ago. Megan wanted to be a puppy this year, preferrably a golden retriever, but I don't sew and really couldn't bear the thought of buying her a plastic or nylon one from Walmart. I asked Megan if she'd like to borrow the pink poodle costume instead and she ended up really liking it. This friend has also made a really cute gorilla costume, a witch's dress, and a great clown costume, all of which she's already handed down to me, but I think Megan's probably already too big for them.

Lauren has already decided to be a magician next year, and has talked Megan into being a white rabbit. She'd like Carson to be her assistant, but Carson's not 100% on board yet.

I'm pretty sure I can get my mom to make a rabbit costume. This is a really big pink one she made for my brother in law a few years ago. He wears it for Halloween and on stage. He's in a band. Wearing a big pink bunny suit.



I know....my brother in law is kinda funny looking.

And Nutmeg! She totally reminds me of an episode of Bewitched when 2 martians/doggy looking dudes came down in a spaceship and landed it in the backyard.

They were really nice doggy martians and it was totally one of my favourite shows.

yep I'm old.
