Mischief Night was a big deal when I was young. There was always that fear that your house would be targeted, your pumpkins destroyed, your trees TP'd. But it never happened. I remember faint rumblings of some kids getting in trouble for going out on Mischief Night, but never any big whoop-dee-do.
In college, one of my roommates and I had too much to drink one night and went out on Mischief Night. We didn't destroy any pumpkins, but we did steal some decorations and a couple of lawn ornaments.
As an adult, nothing's ever happened to our house or cars or anything else the night before Halloween.
Did you all go out on Mischief Night when you were younger? Or ever?
Also, I never put out halloween decorations until halloween day.
I remember racing home from school and spending pretty much the entire afternoon up until just before people started trick or treating out there setting up my dead bodies and blood splatter and stuff.
Are you kidding? My friends and I were Mischief Night nightmares!

Vasoline around your doorknob or under your car door handle
Shucking corn cobs and throwing the kernals at home windows
Eggs Eggs Eggs!!!!
Rearrange Hallooween decorations
Taking 'For Sale'(home) signs from lawns and placing them in front of someone elses home
