Mrs. Smirk has one and uses it constantly. It seems like it breaks every six months and she bought the extended warranty so she sends it back to them to be fixed. She has done this several times. So many times, in fact, that the warranty people tried not to cover it last time.
I have one but I rarely use it. My Mom uses hers constantly but she has had multiple neck surgeries and doesnt need to be sweeping. She named it. Spiderwebman. yep.
I dont know if I posted this story here or not but...
I heard a story on NPR about people with Roombas coming home to their dogs having torn them to pieces. It seems that the dogs would attack the Roombas. A solution for this was discovered after one dog owner sought advice from a pet therapist. She advised to publicly scold the Roomba in front of the dog and then praise the dog in front of the Roomba so that the dog would know s/he was more important than the Roomba and would therefore have no reason to attack.
