Its been a minute, right?

I just finished the Hunger Games series. Meh. I loved the first one but the following two were a bit annoying. I dont want to ruin it for anyone that has not read them so Ill just leave it at that.

What are you reading? Any good suggestions?

I loved the first one, liked the second one, and was dissapointed in the last one.

Do you like young adult lit? If so I recommend "Daughter of Smoke and Bone".

I am alarmingly obsessed with the hunger games, and can't stop rereading them.

just finished the girl with the dragon tattoo, which took a couple of tries to get into, but then I couldn't put it down. I recommend it.

Has anyone read the other two? Are they worth buying?

And do you all know there is a new dark tower book coming out?

I read the first one in 1985 and the last in 2006 ( I think..). Been reading them for 20 years. I am a DT junkie and I hope he never stops writing about them. I can't wait, I miss Roland, Eddie, Susanna and Jake, and Oy!

I rented the Swedish mini-series of all three, and although I liked the other two, the first was definitely the best in terms of story.

Currently: The Information by James Gleick

Pretty good history of information - early computing, ciphers, information theory, talking drums, etc. About 3/4 of the way through. It's pretty long (544 pgs).

I love John Green. His latest book, "The Fault In Our Stars", is amazing.

King's new book will be called "The Wind Through the Keyhole"

Sounds like a fart joke.

Ginny: I do not often read young adult lit but thanks for your suggestion. I mostly picked up the Hunger Games because of the reactions and suggestions of the people on this board.

I just bought The Fault In Our Stars yesterday. I'm not very far into it but so far I like it.

I feel about the same as Ginny when it comes to Hunger Games.

How do you like it DJ?

I'm only a few chapters in but it's nicely written and seems a quick read.

I like it so far. Has a different feel than most of his other books, at least to me. Unfortunately it's going to take me forever since I'm not reading much these days.
