ITouch

I have been listening to Linkin Park on Shuffle mode for the past few months while I ride the exercise bike. Now that I have a JOB!!!!, I am playing my entire ITouch on shuffle. Muse's Knights of Cydonia just came on and I had forgotten how much I love Muse.

You have any rediscovered bands that you forgot you loved?

I actually downloaded all the popular tunes from En Vogue last weekend when I realized I didn't have them on my player. I hadn't thought about them in years. I didn't "love" them, but 'What a Man', and 'Never Gonna Get It' are pretty decent tunes. Dig the harmonies. 'Free Your Mind' was a bit preachy for my taste, but I downloaded it anyway.

I'm all over the map when it comes to music. I went through a Dolly Parton Blue Grass phase back in November and December. Mrs. Smirk is happy it has passed.

My phases are also intense and then they simply get replaced by another. Mine too can be all over the map, from 60s white dudes with acoustic guitars through to 70s black dudes giving up the funk. The last thirty years haven't really touched me though. It all seems like one long decade to me now from the 90s onwards, full of things I either don't understand or care for. I'm officially an old fart.

Free your mind.... and your ass will follow! Never my favourite Funkadelic LP. They were rumoured to be on LSD when they cut that - sure sounds like it!

Edit that: I just bought Physical Graffiti.

I need some Parliament Funkadelic. My double album was stolen years ago. Where were you before I went on an Amazon spree?

Start with Parliament's Osmium, then pick up Funkadelic's Maggot Brain, America Eats Its Young, Cosmic Slop and Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On. And then get back to me. happy.gif

Thanks, Caps! I started yesterday, back with an employer that I worked for from 1994 - 2003. Super easy transition back. They are still using the spreadsheets I created! LMAO!

YAY Tr00! Do you get President's Day off? It's always best to start back with a PAID vacation within sight.

No, I don't get that off, but they did reinstate my 4 weeks of vacation and let me enter the 401(k) plan immediately. It's a sweet gig, although from what they tell me, the team I am on is struggling.

If they're still using 9 year old spreadsheets, I should say so.

They work, so why recreate them? That's not cost efficient, wasteful Anon.

It's attitudes like yours that make morale sink low.

Yes, sir! But first let me dial up the internet, fax these instructions to the team, save my work onto a floppy, and shut down Windows 97. It might take 45mins, but I'll be right there!
:P

Do you do that snort/swallow thing too, Anonny? Because the guy who sat behind me until about 2 weeks ago did that all the time. When he put in his notice, I did a happy dance.

Seriously! My eyes would burn and I would almost puke!
