One man and two babies

The Mermaid took our middle child to California this weekend. Her sister just had a second daughter.

I am alone with our oldest and our youngest for 6 days. I have some help in the form of grandparents.

I suspect I'll survive, but that I will be very busy. My one fear is that this is essentially forced final stage weaning for Dex. We will survive.

That is your Squid update.

Of course you will survive. Good luck, Squid. We carry them inside for 9 months then we carry you guys for 18 years.

ETA: Cannot resist pointing out the proper use of "then" to Appy.

18 years? I have two married friends that would extend that term to include their husbands.

This is your opportunity to deploy a new model for child rearing. We need to get away from mass-marketed developments of the baby industry. May I suggest a more natural and humane system? It's called the "Free Range" toddler production method. Let them be free and wild, as mother Gaia intended.

Take my word for it -- that method does not work very well.

Sure it does. Just open the front door and let nature take its course.

Poor Squid. 10 years ago this thread would have been titled, 'One man and two babes'

What a difference an "i" makes.
