Woke up today in an exceptionally foul mood. It's not my nature to be so scowly, but for a variety of reasons I'm one giant bitch today.

Hopefully the surgeon I met with yesterday will call with happy news.

Re: Foul mood

Meh, I've known or a while that I needed hip surgery on both sides. My hips have been hurting for most of the last ten years. It's only become an issue because they are interfering with my taekwondo fun. I was expecting to make a plan yesterday that would include arthroscopic surgery on both sides about 2 months apart. Turns out my right side is more of a train wreck than previously thought, so now I'm looking at a potential replacement on the right side.
The downer is that I'll have to postpone a big vacation, postpone making a bid for a state championship in tkd, and miss lot of work (which equals a lot of $$$). All these issues are temporary setbacks on the things I've been looking forward to. So, I've allowed myself this morning to be a baby about it. As its after 1pm here, I'm moving on.
Saturday morning I have a tkd tournament, and I'm going to channel my frustration into my opponents. Win or lose, someone is getting round kicked upside the dome!

Please do not mention this on fb. It's not for the general public.

Definitely no FB. We don't want to warn your potential sparring partner about a good kick to the dome. Takes all the fun out of dome-kicking.

I don't think it applies to small businesses. Plus I'm essentially paid base plus profits from my own sales. Not working equals no sales.

Yikes, 8. Sorry to hear about your hip issues, the setbacks and the things you were looking forward to. Pouting is totally justified.

Awww 8! You are one of the smartest toughest guys I know, you'll get through this and be even better with new bionic body parts!

John was in tons of pain until he got his new knees, it should be the same for your hip. You'll be doing the booty circle with me!

It's just a temporary setback. You can use the recovery time to plan and plot even better dome kicking happy.gif

from someone who's done surgery during the last year....I know you'll be fine.

Keep your nutrition up now and be sure to do exersizes for arms, shoulders etc while recuperating in bed. It's amazing how quickly you lose muscle tone even after a week of bedrest.

keep smiling $8
