Here is what I loved about the episode. They basically showcased the entire day from three different perspectives, which I think is brilliant. If they do that all the time, it would be hokey, but this is their first and they did it perfectly.
Peggy has a Don Day: With Don running out the door to go to a Howard Johnsons (HOJO) in upstate NY with wifey in tote, this leaves poor little Peggy in charge of the Heinz pitch. This is her second try and in her estimation; she needs to hit this one out of the park. She is so tweaked about it, she has a little fight with her writer/boyfriend that morning, which sent him scampering into the morning with clothes in hand feeling a little dirty and used because she doesnt really need him. This will be the theme for Peggys be Don for a Day. When the bean peeps dont like her brilliant pitch, she gets in their face about it, which obviously pisses the beans out of them and they demand that she is off of the account. She gets drunk, leaves work in the middle of the day which she announced to COOPER that she is going to the movies when she walked out the door. She then gets high with a stranger in the movie, whacks off said stranger and then comes back to the office only to drink more and pass out. At 8:30pm she gets woken up by Dons secretary, because Don wanted to talk to her on the phone. Don is all weird and hangs up on her. Peggy then staggers home with her bonnet and calls the boyfriend because she needs him. Does she really need him in the long run, no, but in that moment she did. We all make bad choices, but I applaud you Ms. Peggy. Go on with your bad self and now that you have taken up smoking, you are morphing into the little Don you always wanted to be. I have a feeling things are not going to be pretty for Miss Peggy.
Roger has a Night to Remember: Roger starts his day by trying to convince Don to go on a road trip with him to see this HOJO. Don would rather take wifey, grabs her and drags her out of the office. Roger is miffed that he has to go with his wife to this dinner party, which he tried to avoid with the work/road trip. The dinner party is being held by Rogers wifes therapist where they all are going to drop some LSD. This by far is the funniest thing ever produced by this show. The other couples are TWEAKED out of their minds, and Roger seems clear and coherent. You dont realize Roger is tripping until he tries to drink and when he opens the vodka an entire orchestra starts playing and when he lights a ciggy, it becomes a horn. BRILLIANT! Fast forward through this trip and wifey reveals that she is unhappy and Roger does too. The next AM Roger is actually sympathetic and very blissful as to this reveal that they will break up all pretty, rainbows and flowers. Wifey didnt realize she said all that and she tried to burst his bubble by telling him, its going to be expensive, Roger replies I know. Good for you Roger! Love to see you and Joan get together now that you are both foot loose and fancy free!
This has gone on way too long, so I am going to do a quick wrap up. Don fucks up, gets in a fight with Megan and it affects Don's job (shocking). Don returns to the office the next day only to get put in his place by Cooper. Cooper says, look you have been on a love vacation and verbally smacks him on the face like Cher smacked Nick Cage in Moonstruck SNAP OUT OF IT! Cooper then berates Don for letting Peggy run things and he pretty much has been told he needs to get the office back into shape.
The honeymoon is over and next week I am sure heads will roll. The End. Please comment and add your favorite bits.
There are just some things one should not google, but I digress.

So funny I was watching last night -- whenever Don kinda just goes with the flow I call it "Drapering" -- use it now and then with Erin when I sort of just wander around and do my thing.
And last night I was like, 'Is peggy drapering...?'
