Those stickers on fruits and veggies tell you quite a bit!

4 digit numbers mean they were conventionally grown.
5 digit numbers starting with number 8 means they are genetically modified (GMO).
5 digit numbers starting with number 9 means they were organically grown.

Do they tell you how to remove those damn stickers without turning the fruit into juice?

Oh, no need to remove, Whitee. They are edible. Girl Scout's Honor!

I'm sure we've all eaten things worst for you than a sticker on a piece of fruit.
Go ahead and enjoy that sticker. happy.gif

That bread thing - Snopes mentions it, but you really do have to know the codes for your preferred manufacturer and store schedule in order to use it. There is no industry standard.

I know somebody in the bread business and this drives him nuts, people looking at the color coding and tearing up shelves when it's not even close to what they actually do.
