I read that it was kind of lame and way too slow for the first hour and then way too fast at the end.
Someone said if all you go to the movies for is CGI, it's a win but otherwise don't waste your time. (where was this person when I decided to see District 9?)
I thought Hollywood reached its peak at desperate when they recycled old movies/ television shows into new ones. But basing them from a board game?? New level. What's next an Angry Birds movie?
OMG I saw some of the most wonderfully awful movies this weekend. I thought Malibu Shark Attack (goblin sharks? reallY?) was bad, until I saw Supershark. I had to stop watching the shark movies for a couple days after that one. Had some good laughs.
A friend of mine told me yesterday that her stomach hurt. I asked her if she needed a tums and she said, "no, its just shark week. I need a midol" LOL!!! I had never heard that before.
Yeah, there is NO DOUBT this was a Alien's prequel- although I was hoping it wasn't going to be. They could have taken it in about 30 different directions- instead they tried to dovetail everything into the first Alien movie.
Of course that also brings into play HUGE questions about the second Alien film- I have a feeling they didn't care about that. In interviews, Ridley Scott kind of scolded Cameron for not being more interested in the back story of the ship.
At the end I was just laughing. It was very Monty Pythonesque to be quite honest...the last reel, In my head, I kept hearing the Black Knight going, "It's only a flesh wound!"

But AC, that's why Aliens was so awesome! Alien 3 and 4 were a crapfest.
