I read that it was kind of lame and way too slow for the first hour and then way too fast at the end.
Someone said if all you go to the movies for is CGI, it's a win but otherwise don't waste your time. (where was this person when I decided to see District 9?)

I call movies like Battleship and Transformers "tinfoil movies" cause all of the fake machines.

I saw MIB3 last night, it made me happy. Didn't see the ending coming.

For those who saw it... was there something in the credits... a lot of people were sitting through them but we didn't.

I thought Hollywood reached its peak at desperate when they recycled old movies/ television shows into new ones. But basing them from a board game?? New level. What's next an Angry Birds movie?

Yeah Lea- I mean it started off, kinda lame. Then got kinda better. Then went really lame- to the point, it was nothing but ultimate lameness...

Someone said that it was supposed to be the prequel to Aliens. Is that true?

OMG I saw some of the most wonderfully awful movies this weekend. I thought Malibu Shark Attack (goblin sharks? reallY?) was bad, until I saw Supershark. I had to stop watching the shark movies for a couple days after that one. Had some good laughs.

Back to Splash and Finding Nemo for now.

That is, until True Blood comes on.

I've been calling my GF's ladytime Sharkweek for years.

I learned the hard way that "Let's turn this bedroom into an abbatoir," is not a good pick up line to use during that time.

When ever she gets too complainy about her period, I remind her it could be much worse. "You could be not having it."

Charlize Theron: very beautiful and apparently made entirely of wood.

I KNEW that this movie was a prequel to Alien! The shape of the ship and the...

Well, I suppose I could have just read about it on the 'net and known - but just from the trailers on TV I guessed that.

If that's the case they'll certainly get my on-demand dollars come Christmas or whenever.

Some actor guy that acts in it says it's not a prequel, but there's probably some kind of ownership thing that prevents them from saying so?

Charlize Theron, I'm tired of looking at your face. Yes, Monster, Oscar, blah blee. TEN YEARS AGO.

Re: Prometheus

Yeah, there is NO DOUBT this was a Alien's prequel- although I was hoping it wasn't going to be. They could have taken it in about 30 different directions- instead they tried to dovetail everything into the first Alien movie.

Of course that also brings into play HUGE questions about the second Alien film- I have a feeling they didn't care about that. In interviews, Ridley Scott kind of scolded Cameron for not being more interested in the back story of the ship.

At the end I was just laughing. It was very Monty Pythonesque to be quite honest...the last reel, In my head, I kept hearing the Black Knight going, "It's only a flesh wound!"

But AC, that's why Aliens was so awesome! Alien 3 and 4 were a crapfest.
