Friend and family generously allow us to use their nj shore places free of charge, so we never go anywhere but the jersey shore on vaca.

My new furniture was suppose to be delivered today but instead it's being returned to sender and no one can tell me why.

I have a lot to do, can you tell by me distracting myself here?

People saying that they will 'keep in touch' via e-mail, but they never do.

You send messages about your life, etc.

And then when you ask them a simple question, they get mad and bitch about the other stuff you talked about (weeks and month ago).

we had a donatos for about a year by my old house. Pizza cut in squares, right? It started out so good, we were eating their veggie pizza every week. than it started to be hit or miss, next just miss finally out of business. Haven't seen one around since.

Not a Guido. I've never seen that show, but I've seen pictures of the people. I have been going to the NJ shore my whole life and have never seen people like that.

Funny. Same here. I loved their pizza for the first year, but since January it turned on me. Hits my stomach wrong. They still seem to do a good business around here though.

Have a couple of local chains that I've turned to.

Not nice!!

I think that fake tan, fake nails, fake hair, fake fake fake look is more a north jersey/new york thing. No one I know really does that.

This is a fantastic marinade Appy:

1 2/3 cups chicken broth (13 1/2 ounces)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons ketchup or 2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 tablespoons finely grated peeled fresh ginger
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar
1 (3/4 pound) pork tenderloin
1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe for oven here:
Read Morhttp://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Ginger-Marinated-Pork-Tenderloin-108734#ixzz1z7U1Hb3w

ETA: If you freeze ginger root before you peel it, it is SO much easier to manage.

Re: First world problems

Best pork marinade in my mind:

Jamaican Jerk!

Youll Need

5 scallions (green onions)
5 sprigs of fresh thyme (about 1 tablespoon chopped)
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 scotch bonnet peppers (Habanero is the same just a little bigger)
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup vinegar
1 onion
1/2 cup orange juice
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger

Notes: If youre using dried thyme, use about 1/2 table spoon. This makes about 3 cups of marinade and it can be stored in the fridge for about 1 month.

Basically all youll be doing is making a puree with all the ingredients I mentioned above. So youll need a blender or food processor. Rough chop the scallions, peppers, garlic, onion and thyme and place in the food processor to make it easier to puree. Remember when working with these hot peppers to wear gloves (the natural oil is deadly). Also note that most of the heat is within the seeds and the membrane that surround the seeds. So to control the heat, discard those. However, for that true authentic Jamaican feel.. keep the entire peppers. Now add all the other ingredients and pulse to start. Then run the puree speed for about 2-3 minutes until everything breaks down to a smooth consistency.

For best results use this sauce immediately, but marinate your pork, chicken or fish (havent tried beef yet) for at least 2 hours before grilling or roasting in the oven. The next recipe I post Ill show you how simple it is to use this marinade/sauce to make the Ultimate Oven Jerk Chicken. Stay tuned.

I got a living social deal for a spray tan in my email that was billed as "scented". One of the scents was cinnamon. I was tempted to try it just because I thought it would be neat to be cinnamon scented.

I always have to big soft chocolate cookies in the morning on my drive to work. I was down to two cookies one morning, one of them was egg shaped. It tasted ok, but it was egg shaped.

Someone years ago made a statement and it seems to have stuck. Actually there is no heat in the seeds, because of where they are the outside gets a little moisture coating that is hot.
