In other pet news, our cat Oscar went missing about two days ago. I went around the neighborhood and nothing. I fear a coyote or fisher cat got him. But I've never seen any of those.
Oh This makes me very very sad. I hope he comes home soon!!
When I got home from Aspen, one cat was missing. They aren't allowed outside without us and Diego always gets pissy after having to stay inside so many days in a row. Well, this time he jumped off the second floor balcony. I get home at midnight and he is NOWHERE and Belle is frantic running around crying for him. Long story short - he came in finally around 2AM. So freakin stressful!
A hunter. Whether it was bugs, flies or chipmunks. He would stalk and pounce. Make the kill with little effort. Flies were the best. He would sit and figure out the fly's pattern, and then just set up in a spot. Wait for it. Swat. Eat. done.
I hope Oscar comes home! Hopefully he suprises you in a few days. Check around the yard really well (sheds and stuff). I had a cat who got hurt and hid out in the shed in the backyard.
The odds were against it, but my parents had a cat that came back after being missing for about two weeks. It had its' front claws declawed, so we were all sure she had fallen prey to a wild animal. Here's to hoping you have a similar situation.
