Hi Y'all

How is everyone? It's hot as hell in Baltimoron land. Many people have been without power since a major storm hit last Friday. I was gonna be stalker-y and ask if anyone had heard from Kathleen because I think that's one of the areas that still has power outages. But I see she just posted the other day. (I guess that still makes me a stalker.)

Can't we talk about fashion and The Bachelorette (because I'm shallow like that)? Can't stand plastic Emily.

All I see are a bunch of KOOOL posts.

Hi Balti!

I hear there's a nationwide heatwave going on and millions of people without AC.

It's about 75 degrees here with clear skies.

we're getting the heat as well, will be 107F tomorrow. But we have electricity. I cannot imagine how bad it is for those without it.

I'm bitchy in the heat. But if I was without AC, lost all the contents of my fridge and frezer, had no stove to cook on and had no idea when life would return to normal, I would have to kill people I'm afraid.

yeah, but they keep the ant population down.

Somewhat.

I can't figure out how they keep getting in here. My screens can keep mosquitos out but giant cane spider can waltz right in, no problem.

I especially like waking up in the morning with a spider sitting on my phone so I can't shut the alarm off.

They actually make a thunk when they jump to the floor.

Hi Balti!

It's been lovely here lately too. Fluctuates between 64 - 75F with clear skies.

I want those plants! (Wouldn't mind having that dog either.)

Yeah, it's pretty hot everywhere. It happens. I just feel bad for those who have been without power for six days now. I have AC and a pool, so I really can't complain. Ooh, I think there's a thunderstorm a-stirrin'.

But what about Emily with her fake teeth and boobs?

I am still begrudgingly watching the Bachelorette. Not a whole lot to say about it. It sucks. The only guy I like is Jef.

I have been watching the stupid show Love in the Wild, and I'm hooked. I have a total crush on Ben, who is not my type at all.

Hi, everyone! We were out of town when the storm hit but only lost power for about 2 hours, according to my friend who was checking on our pets. I have a FB friend whose power is STILL out. Ugh. I'd be psycho by now!

I haven't watched a single episode of the Bachelorette, but watched Emily when she was on the Bachelor. I HAVE read that she's a high-maintenance spoiled brat with an outrageous wardrobe budget who cries when she doesn't like her outfit-of-the-day.

And this quote? Ew. "Arie is one of my favorite guys and I'd be absolutely crushed if his parents didn't absolutely adore me,"

How about just "I hope they like me"?

Jiggy's spider on the phone story made me scream a little inside. Xica, that is a gorgeous picture.

I was glad she got rid of Chris. He's a tool and kind of scary if you ask me. He has this smoldering anger just underneath the surface. I could see him going all rage-y a killing someone.

I say again Sean.

Emily is the worst ever. We get a Baxi Pad on the day after the finale though, so that's good. Can't wait for the new Bachelor Pad!

So, I've still been doing 'FFW Viewing' of Emily's season. I'd guess Arie is the pic. She's a horrible liar about who she does/doesn't like, and it's pretty clear she digs him. She likes Jef, but it seems more brotherly. It was totally clear that she wasn't into Sean at all. Chaste kisses 100%.

So then the previews kinda make it look like she picks no one? Seriously, if they put me through this season and she pulls a Brad (round one) - I'll, I'll - probably do nothing at all and dutifully at least keep 'up' on the next one, no matter what it is. I'm a zombie fool like that for this franchise.

They did have ads last night for open Bachelor castings in various cities. So maybe the chain of fools is finally about to be broken?

YAY!

There's certainly NO dude on Emily's season I'd be at all interested in seeing as the Bach.

Hi Baltimore Peeps,
Whats the reality of flying into Baltimore to visit Washington for a weekend? They have really cheap fares from CHL to BLT. Does the train just go right to the capital all quick and stuff? Or would a person be better off renting a car?

Train is easy, so is renting a car.

There are trains from Union Station right to BWI. The only hard thing is that there's not a lot of room for luggage on commuter trains. So if you've got a giant bag, you might want to rent a car.

But there's lots of trains and it's really easy. You get of your plane, take a quick bus, and you're at the train. Lots of them come all day.

I used to fly SWA out of BWI everywhere using the train from Union Station to BWI method.

Both Amtrak and MARC trains stop there.

MARC are cheaper.

I think Emily's going to pull an Ali and let the runner-up go before the proposal. Curious as to why they're doing a live ATFR though.

Smirk, Squid is right with the train thing and probably knows more about it than I do since I've never taken the train to DC.
