How does the relationship between price and pain work? The more I spend the less it hurts? Does that line level off after a certain point? Like $100? If I get up to the $500 does it start to hurt more again?
Linds is currently wearing Gucci sandals.
2 pairs of srsly hella-overpriced sandals.
Hand-me-downs, worn once. Actually strike that, she's only worn them around the house and to put the garbage out. SHAH! Emptying the bins in $500 shoes is quite the visual. She isn't sure if she likes them or not.
These pics are the closest I could find to what she has
Her black pair are patent and with a 2" heel. The ones shown here are $500.
The sandals with red/green strap look more Birkenstocky than my pic, and those are $300. NUTS! Gucci flip flops (read foam) are $160!
background- my sister's boyfriend has a sister who mas married an extremely wealthy businessman. She discards shoes and clothes like Kleenex. These sandals were ready for the Salvation Army used goods when my sister's boyfriend said he'd find a home for them with Lindsay,
Most expensive shoes that will ever walk through our home! And we don't even like them much :/
I think the most I've ever paid for a pair of shoes was about $200 and that was for work boots. My regular shoes that I walk to work in were $80 on sale and my Crocks flip flops that I wear 99% of the time when I even bother to put on shoes costed me $40.
Arwen and I went to a shoe store over in Waikoloa and got our pressure points and stuff tested and then the store tried to sell us $100 inserts for our shoes.
Yeah, that's gonna happen.
However, I have no problem buying totally worthless things for rediculous amounts of money.
Behold, my $250 lighter that actually doesn't even hold as much butane as a 99 cent Bic:
ETA Gross! How does cat hair manage to end up EVERYWHERE?

Yeah, I started smoking when I was 13 and smokes were 75 cents a pack. Now I'm going on 41 and the cheapest smokes I can find in this state are $7.50
When I was 13, I made $5.00 an hour babysitting
Now at 41 (in August) I make substantially less money than 10X what I did babysitting.
None of this adds up.
I like the orange ones that DJ picked. I also liked a couple of the spectator ones that were toward the bottom of the page that I'm too lazy to link up right now.
I do have to spend more because of my uncommon shoe size. I think the most I've actually paid was $600 although I have some that originally retailed for a lot more than that. And then I have flip-flops that I picked up for $3 in the kids' section of a discount store.
Jiggy, how in the hell did you make $5/hr. babysitting at 13? You and I are the same age, and my babysitting job back then paid me 60 cents an hour. (Granted, the parents were cheap, but I think the going rate in my area was $2 tops - probably more like $1.50.)
