Chick-fil-A celebrates its annual Cow Appreciation Day by awarding a free full meal to any customer who comes to one of the chain's restaurants fully dressed as a cow. Those decked in "partial cow attire" - a hat, bag, vest or purse with a cow print - will receive an entree. Cowed by the prospect? July 13: Starbucks Free Starbucks Refreshers Beverages
The increasingly diverse chain is handing our free 12 ounce "Refreshers" at participating stores from 12-3 p.m. They're made from green coffee extract. taken from non-roasted beans, and claim to pack the same energy impact with naturally occurring caffeine and without coffee flavor.

July 14: Dippin' Dots Free Dippin' Dots Clusterz
Despite filing for Chapter 11 last year the vendor of pelleted "ice cream of the future" is still in business, and it's doling out samples of "Clusterz" - ice cream dots clustered with rich crunchy chocolate. Download a coupon from dippindots.com and redeem it at participating Dippin' Dots store and shopping center locations from from 7-9 p.m.

I have never had any of the above things. I know Ruby really like Dippin' Dots though.

ETA: I really want someone to dress as a cow and take pictures.

Its not me that loves Dippin Dots. My motto is "If you eat Dippin Dots, your tongue is gonna have a bad time".

Dipping dots are disgusting.

I've heard the term "freetards" .... Maybe here even, which makes me chuckle every time I see a long line waiting for something free....

I just googled them.  Just looking at them rotted my teeth and gave me a stomach ache.

They look like sprinkles or "100s and 1000s".  Far too many e-numbers for me.

They should be called Chemical Reaction Dots. Blech.

I never stood in line for them, but I like Dippn Dots. Especially the banana split flavor.

I don't like the ice cream dipping dots but I do believe they have the popsicle type as well which I like very much. They're fun!

I think I am going to try the Starbucks freebie today. Green coffee? Who knew! And it says it doesn't taste like coffee which is WIN for me.

It actually pretty good. I have been drinking the lime one. I think I may end up with caffeine over-load.

We did cow appreciation day last year and was planning on going today for our free meals, but change of plans...Spent this morning in the ER. Ben had a reaction to his ear infection medicine...Looks like he's allergic to penecellin. He's covered in red splotches all over.
