So I'm sitting watching Kelly and typing on the couch. I have no job at the moment. What is everyone else doing at this very moment? We can do a Twitter thing. As in...."I am now sipping hot coffee..."
I'm kind of working. I'm all caught up but doing random things as they come in.
I've been giving Facebook a break and I've become addicted to GetGlue.
Tomorrow we're going to a BBQ before we hit up Autumn's boxing gig. It's the clubs one year anniversary and they're hosting their first fight so we're all looking forward to that. Coach said she's almost ready for her first fight but I don't think her attitude is. She doesn't care if she wins or loses. I told her with an attitude like that she's going to lose and probably lose interest as well.
Frickin' hormonal teenager will be the death of me.
Are certain threads lagging to read/post or is it just me?
Playing catch-up after being gone all day yesterday at an offsite training for time management which apparently didn't sink in. Heh.
Looking forward to the weekend since I'm so butt-ass tired the thought of spending Saturday laying around sounds very appealing but I'll scrape myself out of bed to go out to dinner for a whitey birthday do-over since he spent his b-day driving us 16 1/2 hours to Montana for the wedding.
I just had breakfast - english muffin, scrambled eggs, double bacon. Skipped the hash browns (forgot to tell them house potatoes instead... grrr!).
Working on some review comments that are so ridiculous that I don't even know where to start and who to kill.
This weekend I need to do some clothes shopping for Israel and get the house in order for company that is coming on Tuesday. Unfortunately, I am going to have to bail halfway through their visit but oh well.
I wore my hair up today and I haven't in such a long time. I kinda like it.
Who did Kelly choose as the guest host from the normal public, Tam?
How'd you know he turned it down? I want to know who it's going to be! I'm a little obsessed with the show for reasons I don't want to examine too closely. If not Seth Meyers, than a fantasy choice would be Ross the Intern. Her husband is sweet like her and very likeable but that gets old.
No, no, no, no, no, Meyers told The Orlando Sun-Sentinel when asked whether he would take the job. Meyers indicated that during an election year, working on "SNL" is creatively and professionally satisfying, and he does not want to leave the NBC sketch show right now."
Today I got up and walked the dogs then at around 6 am broke in to a provincial park to take some photos (breaking in = hopping over a chain with a sign on it that said 'park closed' and walking over to the shore).
Tonight I am going with some work peeps to a dinner theatre. I am not totally excited about it, aside from seeing my friends from work. The food at that particular restaurant is kind of hit or miss. The title of the show is "Tex In The City".
Here comes my un poopy update: turns out no news IS good news! When I called the mechanic, it turns out the reason he hadn't called me back is two-fold. One, the problem was neither the transmission not the catalytic converters, it was the computer! So he has fixed the original problem AND the A/C as a bonus. But wait, it gets better! This mechanic was recommended to me by my boss and a coworker. My boss called me this morning and asked in passing if I was able to get an appointment with this mechanic. She and ANOTHER coworker got in touch with the mechanic and chipped in $200 toward the repair, and after my boss shared my sad sack story, he knocked ANOTHER $100 off the bill!!!!
The dinner theatre turned out to be pretty good - one of my former students was in it (she just graduated from high school this June and is going to university for music therapy in the fall). Also there was booze. And one of the other ladies looked exactly like Mayim Bialik, except taller and in a super-short skirt, which Mayim would never do because she practices Modesty and wears swimsuits like this:
