As I mentioned once or thrice I'm going to Maine in 9 days!  My brother just posted a slew of pix (see one below) from our camp on the ocean of a family party I missed last week.  I hate him for it.  But I shall be there in a few weeks!  What are your plans for August?

PS I don't know if any of you remember I used to post pix of my curlyheaded little niece Emily.  Well now she's 11!  And still curly.

My big plans this month are 1) Disneyland with Ruby on Friday (WOOT) 2) Want to go the the Orange County Fair before it leaves (probably next weekend) 3) Planning on seeing Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers on the 31st at the Great Park.

I'm making a trip to OKC on the 15th for my dad's best friend's retirement party, and for my niece's birthday. It's hard to believe that almost a year ago we weren't sure she'd even make it, and now she's a beautiful, smiley, lively little girl with a whole bunch of toofies, and who just took her first steps the other day! I can't wait to see her.

Gots all the kids and the wife's birthdays all in the first week of August. (Its like Christmas to my wallet in August. Its horrible)

Going to an NFL pre-season game next Saturday.

'Member how I was all asking about Baltimore and DC? Booked that trip for late Aug with the wife and kids. Mrs. also got us approved for Capital tour, Pentagon tour, and White House tour through our state rep. She can get some shit done.
