the first thing I would do would be to lube it, since it is a mag. class air gun I guess I would use this mixture on this page I made a while back, check it out at: http://air_guns.tripod.com/lube.htm.
After lubing the air gun, the next thing I would do is to use blue loctite on the screws of the stock to prevent them from coming loose from the double impact of the piston's action.
If I were to use open sights on this air gun, the next thing I would do is the paint the front sight's pin with a white base paint, then I would paint the point of the front sight's pin with a bright (flou.) red paint. Makes it easier/faster to target in a target.
Once all this is done, then I would sight the air gun in.
